"Avene Comedomed is the secret weapon for breakout-suffering skincare enthusiasts in the know. Its award-winning formula for sensitive, blemish-prone skin minimises the appearance of imperfections, all without drying out your complexion - genius!" - Kate, Escentual Beauty Team.   Why You'll Love The Avene Cleanance Comedomed Concentrate: Best-selling moisturiser that mattifies and clears skin. Clinically proven to reduce blemishes in as little as seven days. Reduced imperfections by 45% in two months during trials. Prevented the recurrence of blemishes for 90% of test users. Ideal for teens and adults with oily, blemish-prone or acne-prone skin.   What You Need To Know: A true innovation, Cleanance Comedomed shows results in just seven days. It targets both visible blemishes and those lying invisible under the skin, while limiting their reappearance for clearer skin in the long term. Made for oily, blemish-prone complexions, the concentrate is powered by Comedoclastin(TM). Derived from milk thistle seeds, Avene's powerhouse active is so good that it has patented properties, so you won't see it cropping up in other skincare formulas anytime soon. This clever active targets blackheads, reduces existing blemishes and prevents new ones from appearing. In fact, Avene's anti-blemish face cream has a clinically proven anti-reappearance action. Recommended for those over 12 and over, Comedomed uses just 11 ingredients to soothe, mattify and treat your skin. But just because it's tough on breakouts, that doesn't mean it's tough on sensitive skin; it features a hefty dose of Avene's world-famous Thermal Spring Water (67.5%) to soothe and calm your complexion with each use.   Why It's Escentual: Let's just say, there's a reason why the Comedomed cream is a best-seller and an award-winner. It might be held in a small pump bottle, but the formula itself is mighty. And honestly, the results speak for themselves. We'll admit that it does have a strong chemical smell when first dispensed, but the fragrance-free formula works so hard that you can put up with the scent (plus, the natural fragrance disappears once you've smoothed it into your skin anyway). Moreover, it has no artificial fragrance to offer a high-tolerance formula that's less likely to irritate even the most sensitive skin. In fact, it's so gentle that you can use it alongside other products, or after acne medication (except for oral isotretinoin). The face cream has a light, non-greasy gel-cream texture that not only sinks in really quickly, but also leaves your skin feeling supple, moisturised and mattified. Although it's best used as a twice-daily facial moisturiser for oily, blemish-prone skin, we've also discovered a few extra hidden benefits when putting it to the test. Not only can it be used on the back and chest to treat pesky spots, but we also think it makes a great targeted spot treatment for those who struggle with the odd breakout.   The Best Way To Use It: Use morning and night. Dispense 1 pump of Cleanance Comedomed onto your fingertips. Then, dab it onto the T-zone and the cheeks, using circular motions to boost penetration as you smooth the cream outwards towards the cheeks and lower face. Cleanance Comedomed can be used alongside acne medication; however, it should not be used with oral isotretinoin.   The Sustainable Side: The outer cardboard box can be recycled.   Values: Dermatologically-tested, high-tolerance. Fragrance-free, non-comedogenic.   Awards: RSVP Magazine Beauty Award Winner 2021.

I ordered this on a whim as I saw it in the sale and read some really positive reviews online elsewhere. I have been having the worst breakouts in a long time due to stress. I have had acne since I was 13 and I am 41 now, not fun, but it was mostly under control with few chin spots, nasal-labial pores enlarged, forehead texture- until this pandemic took over. I have painful deep acne on my cheeks now and haven't in years! Also near my chin, neck, hairline area. I was previously using a popular skin care brand's treatment that included acids etc. for pore control and acne and that had stopped being effective. The fact that this product has only 11 ingredients appealed to me as I hoped it would not irritate my rosacea/acne that I tend to get on my nose and peri-oral area. I am happy that not only is my skin clearing up nicely after a week but it also does not make my skin red at all! Everything I put on my face makes it a bit red and I am not typical fair rosacea person, I have light olive skin and brown eyes but I still get red spots not a nice look. My skin is left even toned and matte using this. It DOES have a strong smell of alcohol? but it disappears after a few seconds, does not bother me. I am also using the Ordinary's AHA 30% + BHA 2% mask and that might be part of the clear up as well. I am using the Avene serum twice a day. It controls my face's super oiliness too! I am back to order another because the only downside is, is the small size of the bottle and I am nervous of running out too quickly.
